I was DeAnna's coach for the writing and editing of this book. As a life coach and author myself, I enjoyed learning more about this little known subject. It's a well-written guide for anyone who needs to know about transgender issues, whether it's yourself considering transition, or a family member or friend who wants to support the trans-person in your life! As a mother of a transgendered person, I have found that changing the pronoun when referring to my child has been the most difficult aspect of it, for me. After reading DeAnna's book, I now make much more of an effort to get it right for my kiddo!
It is one of the best books on knowing who and what you are. It also answers most of the questions you have.
This is an engaging and educational book about an important subject. I recommend this book to counseling professionals as well as friends and family members who want to better understand what it means to be transgender.
